A buddy of mine known by the name Jason Bates ( popc0rn in the crazy world of deviantART ) is DJ at HiveTunes.com, a web radio created by . . . eeerm . . . Hive. Apparently it's not his real name but let's call him Hive for now. What's this ? ? ? Well, I think I said what this is, it's a radio over the web, internet, where you can listen to music, like to real radio. You can even vote for songs by filling out a small form with a couple of required fields, end it might be that your vote/song suggestion will be played in a short time.
You should know that the sound quality isn't near CD quality, this is due some technical reasons, not from the side of the broadacter, more from the side of the consumer, the listener. With 48KB/s at 44KHz sound quality even 56K users ( yeah they still exist, almost extinguished but they still do exist ) are able to listen to the radio without any problems, so it's sending a blast to the past. If there's nothing interesting on MTV, MCM, VH-1 and if the music on your radio is more boring than the breakfast you had in the morning, then jump over to HiveTunes.com and listen to the music.
