JazzBaltica 2006: Raul Midón tracklist

March 30, 2007

I wanted to write the tracklist of Raul Midón's solo performance at JazzBaltica 2006 for a while, but I didn't have time to update the website with this information . . . not until now. Before I start to write some stories, here's the tracklist.

  • Everybody
  • Devil my care
  • If you're gonna leave me
  • You make me feel alright
  • Suddenly
  • Ain't happened yet
  • All in your mind
  • Sunshine
  • Sweet imagination
  • If you really want (feat. Nils Landgren)
  • Waited all my life
  • Expressions of love
  • State of mind

All I can say to this is . . . it's amazing, absolutely fantastic, great, wonderful and beautiful songs by an amazing musician. I'm looking forward to see and hear more from Raul.

JazzBaltica 2006: Raul Midón Solo

March 9, 2007

I've been zapping throught TV station last evening. I stoped at "ZDF Theteranal" because I saw somebody playing on a guitar and it was fantastic. I checked what kinda show this was and to my surprise it was Raul Midón. On one side I was happy because I got him finally on TV, but on the other side a little bit sad and angry that I didn't know about this before. If I would have known that he'll be on TV I would have recorded this one hour long solo appearence. Since "ZDF Theteranal" is a TV station where shows are broadcast a couple of times, I looked up the EPG for a possible rebroadcast of this concert. To my luck, JazzBaltica 2006: Raul Midón Solo is scheduled for another couple of times in the next couple of days, so I'll be able to record wonderful songs by this amazing musician. The coming up schedules are:

  • Tuesday, March 20, 2007 17:55 CET
  • Friday, March 23, 2007 21:25 CET
  • Sunday, March 25, 2007 17:55 CET
  • Wednesday, March 28, 2007 12:55 CET
  • Friday, March 30, 2007 17:55 CET

If you're interested in this concert, you live in Germany and you have cable TV, you should have "ZDF Theteranal" ( depending on the cable TV network / provider ). If you have a satellite dish you can receive the TV station when you direct your dish to the following position and search for the station with the following information ( not all information from below are needed to receive "ZDF Theteranal" ).

  • Channel Name: ZDF Theaterkanal
  • Satellite: ASTRA 19,2°E (1G)
  • Frequency: 11953000 KHz
  • Polarisation: Horizontal
  • SymbolRate: 27500
  • FEC: 3/4
  • SID: 28016
  • TID: 1079
  • NIT: 1
  • Video: 1110
  • Audio: 630
  • PCR: 1110
  • PMT: 1100
  • Teletext: 1120

If you live in Europe you can get the TV station aswell if you setup your satellite dish to receive TV stations broadcast over the ASTRA 19,2°E satellite network. Of course it depends on your location in Europe and about the size of the satellite dish you own. The bigger it is the better chance you have to receive "ZDF Theteranal" if you live at the borders of Europe. With a huge dish ( 120cm diameter or bigger ) you can receive the TV station even if you live in North African countries. For the satellite beam coverage you should check out KingOfSat. The only thing left now is to sit down, lean back and wait for the rebroadcast of JazzBaltica 2006: Raul Midón Solo.

Clubnight Special at Union Halle, Frankfurt

March 3, 2007

The time has come, for the first Clubnight Speical in the year 2007. It's been a while since some there has been a live mix set from a party or festival in the Clubnight so I'm excited about this event. I hope to hear many many good tracks, new and maybe some old and I hope the music style will be very versatile. This event will take place ant the "Union Halle" in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, so if you wanna be there . . . then hurry up, because the event starts in a few hours. youFM will start with the broadcast of the event at 22:00 CET ( 10:00pm ) and will go on till 5:00 in the morning.

I'll record the entire event. I'm not sure wether I gonna record this in one piece or in more pieces. I could stop the recording at the DJ change, so the audio file won't get to huge, because maller files are easier to edit when the computer has only 512MB of RAM. If I gonna miss DJ changes, I'll have to wait for the playlist and the exact timeline of each mix. This way I'll know exactly where to split the audio file . . . but only if there will be a significant stop in the music.
